In the summer of 2021, I was on my way to Yosemite. The night before, we had reached a point near Yosemite’s entrance after spending the day in Sequoia National Park. It was the final stop of this road trip through the west of The USA.
We ended at a town named Mariposa in the countryside, it was late, and we were tired. Still, we wanted to enjoy a beer while looking at the sky and sharing some thoughts about this day.
Laying down on the ground, I could recall some memories of the whole trip while looking at the stars; it was awesome because you could see the Milky Way with your naked eyes.
Then, I saw this shooting star drawing a scar on that sharp night sight. It blew a bunch of fast-pacing memories in my soul about the pain I had felt just months before, and I realised in that exact moment that I was alive; my darkest hour was finally over, and I didn’t be aware of the fact I had moved on and was already living memorable moments like this outstanding road trip.
